My name is James Barrie and TapWorks is a business I have established that specialises in regular cleaning of draught beer systems.
I have been working in the hospitality industry in and around Sydney for just on 20 years now most of which has been involved with setting up bars and running the cellars for a variety of bars and clubs.
The majority of this time was spent setting up and running bars/cellars for the Merivale Group namely Hotel CBD, Slip Inn, Establishment, Angel Hotel, The Grand Hotel and lastly The Beresford Hotel. By the end of my 17-year tenure with the company I was the “go-to” contact for any draught beer issues within the group.
Lately I held down the position of Group Cellar-Man for the Balmain Pub Group (BPG) and maintained all 4 of their venues draught beer system along with a few others.
In doing so I have gained a wealth of knowledge of different draught beer systems and I have acquired a passion for this part of the industry, which has naturally led me to establish TapWorks.
I take great pride in maintaining a level of personalised service that is only acquired with owner-operator small business.
